Tay's Gourmet Granola - good for you!

Written by Andrew V., Business Development on Tuesday, February 23 2010

Tay's Gourmet Power Granola combines whole grain rolled oats, sunflower seeds, flax seeds, steel cut oats, sesame seeds, pumpkin seeds, almonds, pecans and walnuts.  Rich in fiber, along with Omega 3 & 6 to make it a very "Powerful" granola that is good for you.

A former Miss Texas, Tamara Hilliard - known to friends as Tay - began making this granola on her own to feed a craving she developed at yoga teacher training in Mexico.

"The food at our retreat was wonderful and healthy, but I especially enjoyed the nut and seed mix that was served daily for breakfast. I fell in love with the concoction and after returning home decided I would have to try and create something similar in order to feed my cravings! I set out to do just that; working diligently to create a healthy, all natural, organic blend that had the same powerful effect on my digestive system. I found the perfect recipe and began to call it Power Granola. I began giving it away to family, then to friends as gifts and before I knew it, people were begging me to make more granola!" says Tay.

Two flavors - Cranberry Nutty Crunch & Blueberry Coco Nutty Crunch. Made in Mansfield, Texas.

I really enjoyed the Cranberry Nutty Crunch and found it to be very good with yogurt. Each one is great on its own for snacking, too!

I am so grateful to have Tay's Gourmet Granola in my pantry. It's so very tasty and so very good for you...relieves all the worries about traditional granola....Tay's is not sugary, not salty, not junky...it's just right. Now that it is on the shelves at Central Market, it is also easy to get.

I think I'll pick up a couple bags to take with me to Hawaii for between surfing snacks! It's so GOOD and so GOOD FOR YOU!

I have replaced my "snacking" of junk food with Tay's Gourmet. I have noticed a more sustained level of energy on a daily basis through workouts and a very demanding work schedule. I have never been much of a granola consumer until Tay's. It is now part of my regular eating schedule.

I really like the Tay's granola in a bag. Normally the bars are hard and messy. Both flavors were wonderful in my plain yogurt! I am so glad I can now buy it.

    Wishing you great success! Annette

Tay's is amazing! If you haven't tried it you don't know what you are missing. My son brings it to school for his afternoon snack and I feel good about the ingredients. He isn't eating chips and he loves it! I think Tay's should be in every store! Central Market is head and shoulders above the rest for offering such unique and healthy items!

When I get home from work I have a strong craving for something crunchy, so I grab the Tay's and I am fulfilled without the guilt. And it's yummy, too!
