New Crop Organic Apples

We have some exciting, new crop organic apples hitting the stores next Tuesday, November 4th.
New crop, Organic Rubinette Apples
A Central Market exclusive that is grown in Oregon. It was developed in Switzerland between 1964 and 1982 as a cross between Cox Orange Pippin and Golden Delicious.
It is prized for its exceptional eating quality. Rubinette is unfortunately not easy to grow. However, this apple has a great balance of sweet and sharp flavors.
We have never brought this apple in before and we could only find 42 cases, so I’m sure they will go fast!

New crop Organic Newtown Pippin Apples
This is an older American variety grown by Thomas Jefferson at Monticello.
It is great for baking with crisp and juicy flesh. The flavor combines the tartness of a granny smith apples with the flavor of a golden delicious.
If you like apple pie, this is the apple for you! Pippins are more flavorful and hold their shape better than any other pie apple. These snappy, tart treats are also an excellent eating apple.
Sweeter than granny smith apples and unparalleled for cooking and baking. Its aromatic, wonderfully tangy flesh makes the newtown pippin an excellent choice for pies and applesauce.
