Caymus, Silver Oak, Prisoner, Rombauer and Ercavio Roble on Special This Week!

The perfect gift giving wines are here and at prices that work for everybody! Stop losing sleep on what to give your loved one, co-worker, next door neighbor, boss, doctor, hair dresser,  just about anyone you really like (especially yourself!) as a toast to the end of year and the start of a new one!

Central Market has highlighted 6 wines this week ranging from $10 to $55 that are the perfect presents.

1. Mas Que Vinos Ercavio Roble $9.99- Famous wine critic Robert Parker of the Wine Advocate says, "this wine over delivers for its humble price and this one should be bought by the case! Tempranillo from Spain yields a deep purple color in the glass and rich plum fruits. 90 points, highly rated!

2. Pratello Wines $10.95- These are brand new Italian crisp white wines from the hillsides of Brescia. We sourced these beauties directly from Italy, made specifically for Central Market. Bright fruit and mild acidity makes it easy to pair with pasta and seafood. These elegant whites would normally retail at almost $20 for this type of quality! Salud!

3. Rombauer Chardonnay $29.99- WOW! Does that say $29.99? What a deal! Rombauer is iconic for its Chardonnay. Intense tropical fruits and pear are balanced with a hint of creamy, toasted vanilla. For those who like a Chardonnay without stong oak. This Chardonnay from Carneros is rich, smooth and bold. It is ranked as the 3rd most popular Chardonnay in restaurants by Wine and Spirits Magazine! Truly a deal at this limited time price.

4. The Prisoner Red Blend $29.99- Take no Prisoners! Because there is nothing shy about this big, bold Zin-based red! So often this is a favorite of critics and wine neophytes alike. Not only did the Wine Spectator rate this big wine 92 points but also named the 2007 as one of the top 50 wines for 2009 from around the world!  The winemaker for Orin Swift is a cool guy - the name comes from Goya's famous "The Prisoner", given to him as a gift in his teen years. (While visiting the tasting room in St Helena, I did not catch if the tiny framed artwork on the wall was a reproduction or original, but it's one of the cooler labels, too.)

5. Silver Oak Alexander Valley Cabernet $54.99- Best price around! Year in and year out, Silver Oak continues to over deliver a Cabernet that exemplifies classic winemaking from California.

6. Caymus Napa Valley Cabernet $54.99- Made by Chuck Wagner, Awarded winemaker of the year by Wine Spectator in 2008, this is the icon of Cabs from Napa and continues to lead the pack. Dark chocolate and hints of espresso. Big, jammy fruits. Let this one breathe a bit before pouring. Highly Rated 92 points on the 2007, this bold red is great now or put it away for a special occassion years from now!

Ok, now that you have these perfect selections for your gifts and the holidays complete – let's start talking Valentine's Day!

Cheers and please enjoy responsibly and have a safe and happy holiday season!

Do you carry Clos la Chance, the one with the hummingbird on the label?

I love Caymus 2006, do you have any and what price. Also Silver Oaks Napa 2003 or2004, and
