The Brewer Tour Schedule - June 26, 27 and 28
Beer recipes, beer pairings, and just plain ol' cold beer: this weekend kicks off our celebration of beer. (We do, after all, carry some 400 brews.)
The Brewer Tour is June 26 - June 28.
So we've invited in some of the best Brew Masters in the country and a host of their fellow beer-makers to hang out for the weekend, talking suds and passing out sips. Because beer was meant to be shared, by golly.
FOR THE FOLLOWING GUESTS, WE PLAN TO HAVE THEM IN STORE AFTER 5 PM ON FRIDAY 6/26; 11 am to 5 pm on SATURDAY 6/27; and NOON to 5 pm on 6/28.
Austin N Lamar - Todd Usry, Master Brewer, Breckenridge Brewery
Austin Westgate - Ro Guenzel, Master Brewer, Lefthand
Houston - Steve German, VP, Victory
Broadway San Antonio - Jimmy Mauric, Master Brewer, and Assistant Brewers, Shiner
Plano - Tom Bleygh, Master Brewer, Pyramid
Southlake - John Dannerbeck, VP, Anchor
Fort Worth - Bob Lauron, VP, Full Sail

I don't see Shiner anywhere on the schedule, and that's the one I'd be most likely to come to. When will they be around?
Brenda on 6.24.2009 at 5:20 PM
I am interested in Shiner as well. Any chance they will be in Plano or Dallas?
Thank you
Ruth on 6.24.2009 at 5:29 PM
Hey,
How come San Antonio only gets Alamo & Spaten on all three days?
Thomas on 6.24.2009 at 5:30 PM
Any chance the Brooklyn people will be bringing some of their beers not sold at CM yet?

Why do you guys want to sample the stuff you can get at bars? Shiner? St. Arnolds? C'mon.. if you want to taste St. Arnolds, go to their brewtour not more than 10 minutes away from Central Market.

This is really lame. Where is Freetail; Bluestar and all the other microbrewers in the area. Why should I come to sample what I can get almost anywhere?

I am a dad who gets very little down time and this is as my kids would say 'a special treat'. Talking with world class brew masters while drinking their product...good stuff! - Thanks CM

Want to taste some real beers by real brewmasters? Come to Oregon Brewers' festival last weekend in July to sample some great microbrews from all over the West and other states. Houston is getting to short straw obviously this weekend.
Thom on 6.25.2009 at 10:39 PM
Nice...Merchant du Vin (they carry several awesome brands), Stone, Victory, Brooklyn, etc.
...none of them coming to San Antonio :(
Mark on 6.26.2009 at 9:59 AM
Why can't Rahr go to Fort Worth CM? They are from there anyways!
