Central Market Exclusive!

Starting this week, Central Market will be carrying a limited number of bottles of Olio Novello Extra Virgin Olive Oil.

Novello is the Italian word for "new." That's because this oil is made of the first ripened Frantoio olives of the season. It's cold pressed using traditional stone grinders (like it was originally pressed back in the 1800s.)  It is left unfiltered, resulting in an immensely fruity flavor with a slightly spicy finish. It's the perfect oil for dipping bread or as a finishing ingredient on salads and vegetables.

All the oil comes from the Antico Frantonio di Mezzane olive mill in the Veneto region of northern Italy.

Owned by the Salvango family since 1895, they've dedicated themselves to keeping to traditional harvesting and production methods. Using only the "prime olives," or those that become ripe at the beginning of the November harvest, they've created a unique oil that is brightly flavorful and still has all the health benefits of olive oil.

There are only 1452 bottles being produced in the world! Each limited edition bottle is numbered and personally signed by the mill's proprietor Daniele Salvagno, and will only be available at Central Market. For just $19.99, this is the perfect gift for anyone on your list or for you.
