Frantoia Olive Oil - AJ's personal favorite!

Central Market Southlake is always offering best-quality ingredients. And when an item comes along that everyone is talking about, we are not only one of the first markets to carry the item, but everyone in our store is eager to share their favorites. Our General Manager, AJ, is no exception. He cannot stop raving about his personal favorite olive oil, Frantoia.
This multi-award-winning, cold pressed extra virgin olive oil originates from 30% Nocellara de Belicie olives, 40% Biancolilla olives, and 30% Ogliarola olives, harvested by hand in November on the mid hillside of west-central Sicily – specifically Partanna, Castelvetrano, Giuliana, Chiusa Sclafani, Valderice, Buseto, and Castelluzzo. It is milled by granite wheels within 24 hours from the harvest, and then it is allowed to settle and decanted naturally.

It has a bright green color with golden yellow reflections, and slightly dense. It is spicy, with a persistent herbaceous aroma and it holds a fruity yet sweet taste with a light almond aftertaste.
Rich and buttery, this unfiltered oil produced by our friends at the Barbera estate in Palermo, Sicily is the closest you can come to fresh pressed olive juice in a bottle.
A customer favorite, it can handle the heat of cooking but really shines when served raw as a finisher, drizzled over robust dishes It is perfect on seafood dishes, on fresh cheeses, on vegetable soups, and all types of mixed salads. The price is right on on this olive oil, too. It's a great example of how you can have quality ingredients at a value price.
Come in and taste-test this and other personal favorites of our staff!
