Wine Managers Sacrifice All, for the Cause of Value Wine!

All eight Central Market wine managers took a buying trip to South America at the end of Febuary.

Chile and Argentina rule for value and quality, when it comes to wine. Read Heidi’s (San Antonio Wine Manager) blog,  "7 days,10 Planes, 81wines" about the Wine Managers' trip to South America to search for new wines.

All of the Wine Managers really did sacrifice oursleves to bring you the very best South America has to offer at a value price. Heidi did steal my tag line about how many planes and busses we had to take and wines we had to try.  I guess all's fair in love and wine…  (I was going to steal the idea from JR, Fort Worth Wine Manager anyway)!

I could go with "7 days,100 empanads, 20 steaks, 3 cabritos and 10 ceviches" is what it take to bring the cool and groovy wines to you the buying public.  I am still on a raw foods diet!   The point to my rambling is that we already have some of these awesome wines in the store right now and more will be coming soon.

At North Lamar look for "Seth’s trip picks", to clue you in on my favorite wines from our trip.  With a loyal following of my picks already, I would like to thank our customers for their support and enthusiasm.

Check with the staff at your local Central Market and ask about the wines from our adventure in South American wine country. We are all very excited to bring you these great wines at even greater value.  I will post more detailed info in the weeks ahead, and hope to see you all in the Market.

Cheers… Seth Pollard Wine Manager North Lamar
