Genuine Health Perfect Skin - First Person Review

Written by Aimee D, eFoodie editor on Wednesday, July 08 2009

I never struggled with my skin until the age of 23. I really thought I was going to be one of the lucky ones that zipped past that teen acne phase with nary a blemish. Turns out I was just a late bloomer.

Fast forward almost a decade and I find that I still have not kicked the skin issues to the curb. This is not, mind you, from a lack of trying anything and everything. Products from infomercials; peels with chemicals I can't pronounce; clay masks; odd ultra-violet zapping wand things....

I finally threw in the towel a few months ago and accepted that I was never going to be one of those glowing, poreless people I so envied.

So when our Healthy Living Buyer Anne brought in a new line of vitamins from Genuine Health, the #1 selling brand of vitamin in Canada, and showed off the many varieties, the Perfect Skin bottle caught my eye. They make vitamins for all these different functions - there's o3mega+ Joy for seasonal disorder and improved mood, abs for fighting carb cravings (that got nabbed before I could get to it, or I'd be reporting on that, too.), even one called o3mega+ think for supporting cognitive function. But the testimonials for the Perfect Skin made me volunteer to try it - I've tried so many other things, what could it hurt?

I want to disclose first that I do NOT like taking vitamins on a regular basis. They often make my tummy hurt and leave a bad, lingering aftertaste with me.

These softgels do not do this. I could pop them on an empty stomach even and feel fine - and no weird aftertaste.

After just four weeks of taking 2 per day (except for the five days I missed because I just plain forgot), I am telling you that I honestly can not believe the results.  It's not just my face - my skin overall, from my calves to my forearms to my decolletage (which was really starting to show my age...) is much improved. Softer, less scaly - it's really amazing!

Each bottle comes with a satisfaction guarantee, so if you decide to try this out and you're not satisfied, you just have to bring it back to Central Market. We've got a $2 off coupon on this going on right now, so I think it ends up being around $24. A lot less than those peels and masks of my old, pre-Perfect Skin life!

This is an "AFTER" photo - there's no chance I am posting a BEFORE picture...

I've read great things about these vitamins and what I love about them (aside from the amazing results) is that they are reasonably priced. Another reason for me to make my daily stop at Central Market.

Let us know what you think. Please keep in mind this is a public forum - help us "keep it clean." Thanks!
