Pre and Post Grilling Wines this week!

It's a typical 95 degree Texas day and it's time to fire up the BBQ! The grilling part is easy. What is sometimes unclear, is what to drink before, during, and after!
This week, we have 2 spectacular wines each with a specific purpose during your GRILLING PROCESS. One is for your pre game prep and work into grilling and one for game time when the Burgers are done and the T-Bone is sizzling!
Pacific Rim Gewurztraminer, $9.95, save $3!!!
(PRE GAME WINE)
If the name of the grape scares you, just ask for the Pacific Rim white wine that will keep you cool in front of the grill. We will know what you mean!
(Ga-Vurts) for short and you will look like a pro.......
The Gewürztraminer is crafted from Washington and Oregon grapes. The fruit from these two regions possesses different yet complimentary characteristics, producing a balanced, more expressive and complex wine. The wine is crisp with a slight residual sugar with flavors of melon and tangerine. This Gewürztraminer is an exceptional match for hot weather, sun, humidity, anything above 90 degress and oh yeah-spicy Indian food, lemon chicken, and blue cheeses.
Avalon Cabernet Sauvignon NAPA Valley $12.95
(GAME TIME WINE)
So, you took advantage of our unbelievable deals on Porterhouse and T-Bones at $8.99lb and Ground Sirloin to make some mean Burgers at $3.99lb. You kept cool with the "Ga Vurts," and now its GAME TIME and time to eat!
Avalon Cabernet from Napa Valley is our numero uno, best selling Cabernet at Central Market. This Cab is a great fruit forward Napa Cab that shows aromas of raspberry, blackberry, mint and black cherries. This is an elegant wine perfect for a non elegant meal. This wine is perfect for those grilling meats you worked so hard on.
Now What.....
(POST GAME WINES)
All rules are out the door at this point, enjoy one, enjoy both and most importantly, enjoy responsibly!

As a So Cal resident for many years before coming to SA, I must say I looked forward to late May for 2 reasons: Sockeye Salmon and Spring Semester being over! I paid anywhere from $19-35 per lb. so everyone here please take advantage of Central Market's price of $16.
Sockeye is great eatin'! And being fresh is wonderful as thawed Sockeye is not nearly as good. I always put a slight smoke on it before putting it on the wood grill; be careful not to overcook it as it should be eaten medium rare. Enjoy and cheers for great eating! David
