Wine, Dine and Learn about Pairings

Written by Karen C., Cooking School Manager on Wednesday, September 08 2010

When our wine buyer, who travels the world selecting the great offerings in our stores, came back from a recent tript to California, he could not stop talking about the culinary program and especially the young chef at Pine Ridge Vineyards. “Exciting pairings, fabulous food” by Chef Eric Maczko sums up his experience and one that we’d hate for you to miss. Since Pine Ridge is one of our best selling wines, we know you are familiar with their consistent quality. A blog that I read recently noted that " They've been in the business of producing wonderfully unique wines for over thirty years now, so they know their stuff. Very critically acclaimed."

Many of you have enjoyed classes taught by Christine Hanna, President of Hanna Vineyards, in our Cooking Schools. She's back with a delicious menu that focuses on a fall harvest meal paired with her family's award winning wines from Sonoma. Christine has completed her first cookbook that gives tips on pairings, describes her style of casual entertaining and ,of course, her specialty, the middle eastern inspirted food that her family and friends love. (Her uncomplicated recipes for pita bread and roasted red bell pepper dip with walnuts are my go-tos for pot lucks.)

Join us in one or both of these classes at a special rate. Pay full price for one reservation and bring a friend at half price. Use code PRWINE for A JOURNEY OF FOOD AND WINE with Chef Eric Maczko and HVWINE for A HARVEST MEAL with Christine Hanna. We know you won't want to miss out on these evenings of great instruction, fabulous food and incredible wines, so do be sure to make your reservations before noon on Friday, September 10 when this special promotion ends.
