"The Pimento Cheese with Soul!"
If you enjoy pimento cheese and you think you've had the best -- and you haven't had "the Pimento Cheese with Soul" then think again -- and march right to Central Market's Dairy department to purchase Palmetto Cheese - original or with Jalapeno.
Born in the low country of South Carolina, this pimento cheese has the perfect dipping texture, a smooth taste, and is pleasing to the palate long after the last dip.
Just who is the woman on the label? That's Vertrella Brown – she was raised in the Lowcountry of South Carolina in Pawleys Island. She has been a cook for over 25 years and specializes in Gullah and Lowcountry Cuisine. And, although the original recipe started with Sassy Henry, Vertrella Brown added that soulful touch to Palmetto Cheese that helped define it as "The Pimento Cheese with Soul".
Palmetto Cheese is made with real sharp cheddar cheese (vs processed or American cheese) and Hellmann's Mayonnaise – it is really, really good – and not just for sandwiches. Check out the variety of recipes using Palmetto Cheese here.

It's the best pimento cheese I've ever tasted! I like the one with jalapeños!
Try a special sandwich: make from-scratch waffles with sweet corn and cheese blended into the batter. Top the cooked waffles with the Palmetto cheese and let it get soft if not melted - it's soooo good!
