Sipping Your Way to a Wine Solution - now open in Plano

Written by Plano CM on Friday, March 13 2009

Does it sometimes feel like a real challenge when you want to pick the right bottle of wine for dinner?

Does this sound familiar? You just get off work. The traffic is bumper to bumper. You are running late. You have to pickup groceries on your way home…Ok. You are finally at the store now. You have your veggies and your meat. Now you are ready to get your bottle of wine to enjoy with your meal. Here comes the wine department: “Oh Dear! So many bottles! So many choices! Which one should I take? Who can help me?!"

Well, Dear Central Market Friends, we have found an easy solution for your needs. It is called the “Plano Wine Experience”. It is quick and simple.

A length of wood sits atop two wine barrels, where glasses and bottles of wine are awaiting you. (I have to say they are great glasses, too, stemless with great tumbler opening shape; perfect for enjoying all the aromatics and flavors of a wine.) A few bottles are opened, and one of our experienced wine professionals is right by your side to assist you during the tasting.

Our Central Market Beer & Wine Partner will pour you wine samples taken from our huge, diversified wine selection. You will also receive great advice on food and wine pairing, wine tasting techniques, cooking tips, recipes, anything you need to know about food & wine.  Wine is so easy when you get to try before you buy, right?

To bring the wines to life, use our taste & aroma kit. It will help you to identify 36 wine bouquet aromas and the wine essence flavors.

Our “Wine Experience” demo station will be offered:

  •  Every day of the week.
  • 5 to 8pm on weekdays
  • 11am to 8pm on Saturdays
  • Noon to 6pm on Sundays.

In addition, we will hold a thirty minute wine seminar every Tuesday from 6:30pm to 7pm.

It will be conducted by wine professionals like winemakers, estate proprietors, distributors, sommeliers, and your Central Market Beer & Wine staff. These classes are offered to you. Just come early to get the best seat in the house. And remember, you don’t have to bring your glass. We will provide it for you.

Cheers!!!
